Производство цемента на Кубе составило в 2000г. 1,70 млн. т. против 1,95 млн. т. в 1999г, и 1,80 млн. т. в 1998г., хотя внутреннее потребление даже намного увеличилось до 1,07 млн. т. Падение производства произошло за счёт сокращения экспорта до 625 тыс. т. по сравнению с 1999г. Основные импортёры цемента – Гаити и Доминиканская Республика и, в меньшем количестве, другие страны карибского бассейна. Пик экспорта пришёлся на 1996г. – 900 тыс. т.
