Baxter’s position in the pharmaceutical industry is significant. Baxter employs 61000 people worldwide and its products are sold in more than 100 countries. Approximately 40% of company sales and profits generated inside the United States. Thus development of the U.S. region is one of the key strategy of Baxter.
Hispanics together with African Americans and Asian Pacific Islanders surpassed one third of the USA population in 2010. As their numbers continue to rise, they are expected to reach 54% of the population by 2050 – making them the minority-majority.
With the current cultural demographic shifts business-model should be fully adjusted to the new changes and challenges including rapidly growing diverse workforce and diverse consumer segments.
